How do you add value into the community?
See one way my building company creates value in the community.
As a resident of the Treasure Valley for over 30 years I have seen many changes with regards to the growth in the housing industry. It is no wonder why we have seen such growth; easy access to the outdoors, small town feel and front porch communities, just to name a few. I have been to almost every State in the nation and here I am raising my family in Boise, Idaho! But a lot of the design and building methods I have seen in Boise do not represent the diverse and creative lifestyle I was brought up to know as an Idahoan. Many times I have driven by subdivisions, including several upper end subdivisions, and the only differences between the exterior of the homes are the roof pitches and colors – the siding is the same, the windows are the same, the roof shingles are the same, same, same, same….. Where is the creativity? I believe this method of design does not add value to a community.

Due to my passion for eye-catching architecture and my desire to add as much diversity and creativity back into Treasure Valley homes as possible, I launched my home building company. My company strides to add value into the communities we build in by installing depth, dimension and originality into the design of each home, while still remaining competitively priced.  Our goal is to accentuate our communities in very aspect of the construction process, because we realize if we are not adding value to our client’s homes, our neighbor’s homes, the subdivision and the surrounding communities then we have no business building in that development.

The previous paragraph is just one example of how my company creates value in the community. Over the next several months I will be asking you how your company adds value to the building industry and communities you are associated with.  I will talk about how industry professionals, such as builders, developers, realtors, vendors, suppliers and installers add/subtract value to the construction process. I will also be writing about value driven experiences I have had, both good and bad, so that you can compare your practices to them.
