Flynner Homes Design+Build is proud to announce its certification as a B Corporation, making them the first custom home design and build company in the world to obtain the B Corp status. B Corps are a new type of company that uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. B Corp certification is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk. Flynner was certified by the non-profit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. B Corp's are evaluated on how their practices impact their employees, their community, the environment, and their customers.

Today, there are over 2,263 Certified B Corps around the globe, including Patagonia, Ben & Jerry's, and New Belgium Brewing. Flynner is proud to join them in redefining success in business, so that one day everyone uses business as a force for good.

Becoming a Certified B Corporation solidifies Flynner's mission in promoting sustainable living, environmental stewardship and social change through high-performance design and construction.

About B Lab

B Lab is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. B Lab drives systemic change through three interrelated initiatives:

  1. Building a community of Certified B Corporations to make it easier for all of us to tell the difference between "good companies" and just good marketing.

  2. Accelerating the growth of the impact investing asset class through use of B Lab's GIIRS impact rating system by institutional investors.

  3. Promoting supportive public policies, including creation of a new corporate form and tax, procurement, and investment incentives for sustainable business.
